Pad Installation Instructions
(printable version)
1.
Remove any and all residue from the area
where the bumper pad will be installed. The mounting area must
be free of all traces of the old pad's adhesive or the replacement pad
will not stick.
2.
With the arm assembled in the Statapult, mark with a pencil
the top of where the stop position pull pin impacts the arm. This
will be just above the center position of where the pad needs to be installed.
Remove Arm Assembly from Catapult body. Scrape clean the pad area
then wipe with the
included IPA (Alcohol) swab. Let this area dry for 30 seconds.
3.
Remove the black round pad from its sheet.
Hold and align the pad centered on the arm in the position
shown below so that the Stop Position pull pins’ impact is centered
on the pad. The pull pin should impact the center of the pad once
the arm is assembled. There is a small mark on the arm which
denotes the bottom of the pad.
4.
Install the Arm Assembly to the Statapult
body and make sure Stop Position pin is in position B5. Impact the
installed pad 20 times by pulling back the arm and letting it go to
cause impact with the stop position pin. This will seat the pad.
Our
new high durometer black pad needs no glue to hold it in place.
It was chosen specifically for its adhesive properties. Units placed in service after
August, 2007 incorporate this new pad. Also all
replacement pads shipped after June, 2007 will be this new black
round pad.

pads, please contact us for resolution.
